Deedee Trotter exploded on the Elite Track and Field scene in 2004.
That year she would win the prestigious NCAA title and become an Olympic finalist in the 400 meters.
Her Olympic debut was capped by a gold medal on the 4x400m relay and she concluded the year ranked fourth in the world.
In addition to her 2004 achievements, DeeDee is a three time World Champion as a member of the 2003, 2007 and 2010 4x400m relay teams, a three time 400m U.S.A. Champion and a two time Olympian.
In 2007 DeeDee pulled off a stunning upset defeating the world ranked #1 Sanya Richards, a triumph that earn DeeDee her first Outdoor National Championship title.
Although many where stunned by the aforementioned victory, DeeDee was not.
Throughout her career her strong belief in God as well as her talents have carried her to heights many did not think were possible.
The same pertinacity and confidence DeeDee displayed in 2007 would be necessary again in 2008.
After a devastating knee injury, DeeDee was not able to train or compete at an elite level.
Early season race results looked grim and many felt that DeeDee should end her season prematurely to nurse her injury; as her chances of a second Olympic berth looked unrealistic.
Never one to accept defeat, DeeDee was able to muster an amazing amount of strength and willpower to make her second Olympic team.
Although she fell short of making the Olympic finals, Deedee cites her third place finish at the U.S. Olympics Trials as her proudest athletic accomplishment in light of how she had to overcome so many obstacles to give herself another opportunity at the Olympic dream.
DeeDeeās strength and character as well as her amazing closing speed make for a suspenseful and exciting race to watch.
Always the trend setter, whether sporting her signature glitter face art, eye catching uniforms or her foundation's red and white wristband, Deedee is always looking to bring something cutting edge to the track.
Since her Knee surgery in the fall of 2008, the road back to the top has not been easy but DeeDee is determined to succeed.
With her sights set on London 2012 DeeDee believes without any convictions and always proclaims that "Amazing Still Awaits".......

In 2012 DeeDee would prove to make the comeback that many believed was impossible.
After struggling for some 3 years following her knees surgery, the 2012 Olympic season would be the year that she would
arrive back on the running scene better than ever.
DeeDee would place 2nd at the USA Olympic trials securing a position on her 3rd Olympic team in a time of 50.02, her fastest time since 2008.
That mile stone would only mark the beginning of more great things to come, as DeeDee would pull off an astounding Olympic bronze medal finish in the 400m.
This would make for DeeDee's highest ranked career accomplishment, and her first individual Olympic medal in an amazing time of 49.72. Following that victory,
DeeDee would lead off the USA 4x400m relay team to a gold medal victory in a time of 3:16.87; clocking the fastest world time run in 19 years.
The "Dream Team" quartet of Ayllson Felix, Francena McCorory and Sanya Richards-Ross were only a mere 1.8 seconds off the world record.
